Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment technique used by physical therapists to address muscle tension, pain, and movement limitations. It can be a helpful complement to a comprehensive rehabilitation program when used appropriately.

At Flourish Physical Therapy, dry needling is never a standalone service—it’s integrated into individualized care focused on lasting improvement.

What dry needling can help with

  • Muscle tightness or trigger points

  • Pain limiting movement or exercise

  • Areas that aren’t responding to other treatments

  • Support for strength and mobility progression

How it’s used in care

Dry needling may be combined with:

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Mobility work

  • Movement retraining

  • Education and self-management strategies

Not every patient needs dry needling, and its use is always discussed collaboratively.

  • Performed by a licensed physical therapist

  • Integrated into a 50–55 minute session
